Who said crime doesn’t pay. The Wilton Manors Police Department donated $500.00 to Wilton Manors Elementary School’s Adopt A Class Program. Using funds obtained from seized property and confiscated from drug cases under Florida State Statue, the Police Department Forfeiture Fund allows the Police Chief to designate a certain amount of forfeiture funds back to the community for worthwhile activities. Chief Richard Perez decided that there is nothing more worthwhile than our kids and has Adopted Jodi’s third grade class. Along with School Resource Officer Frantz Petitpapa, Chief Richard Perez presented Jodi Hansen and Principal Mark Narkier with a check for her to purchase much need supplies for the students.
The third grad class was thrilled to hear that Ms. Hansen had received the large check for new books, flash cards and other much needed items.
