Walk for Peace

April 29, 2006

Passport to Peace. The Passport to Peace is an integral part of our International Baccalaureate program where students work monthly on their Attitudes and Profiles (character traits aligned with the District).

Each month, an Attitude becomes part of the school-wide focus. Each child shares a personal experience that demonstrates the Attitude in their Passport. At the end of the school year, each child's Passport is reviewed to determine if the students have successfully demonstrated all of their Attitudes. Students who have completed their passport receive a stamp signifying that they are on their way to becoming global citizens. Students are then invited to celebrate their accomplishments by participating in an International Showcase.

The Walk for Peace celebrates the students' accomplishments which promote harmony with-in our diverse school community. This was a 3k walk where approximately 300 families and community members participated.
