Wilton Manors Elementary School celebrated International Peace Day with our Pinwheels for Peace Celebration. The celebration began last week with our students creating pinwheels in their classrooms and writing about peace. On Saturday our PTA hosting a pinwheel making celebration and they PTA raised $172.00 as students and folks from the community came to make pinwheels to adorn their homes. On Sunday, September 21, 2008 International Peace Day was celebrated around the world. And today each one of our students joined us in the courtyard with their pinwheels for our International Peace Day celebration.
